Best ways to use search engines

Search engines are tools that help people search for a certain topic ar oanswers to questions they may have. Using a search engine has it's advantages and disadvantages. a great thing would be the large amount of results that can be helpful to you, while at the same time it would also generate a lot of results that are completely irrelevant.

There are a certain techniques to lower the numbers of irrelevant results. The one that worked best for me was simply putting a tilde at the end of the search and adding what kind of results you want to see. This could help by only showing the kind of result that is relevant to what you typed in whether it is and article or a blog.

What is Proposition 37?

Proposition 37 requires companies to label the raw and processed food they put on the market properly and indicate whether the product is genetically engineered or contains genetically engineered materials. It also prohibits calling the products “natural”.
The products that are exempt from this are organic products that unintentionally contains genetically engineered materials for certain purposes like medication.

The pros for this proposition are that consumers will be able to know what the products they are buying will contain. People can avoid the products that are genetically engineered. The cons for the proposition are the prices of these products will go up. The people who don’t really mind that their foods are genetically engineered will be affected greatly because they never asked for this proposition and they will be forced to pay a higher price for the products just because of the labeling. Another con is that the ones against this proposition are big companies that can give a ton of money to the funds used by the groups that will fight the proposition. The funds against the propositions greatly overwhelm the funds to support it.

If I could vote for it I would because I would rather pay more for the products and know what it’s made off rather than just buying things without thinking that there might be a better option instead of that certain product. But I can’t vote so I’ll just have to hope that it passes and becomes a law.

Middle Ages

If I were living back then in the middle ages, I would be living in a small but cozy house in a small village, but I would probably be out most of the time helping and traveling together with the knight. I would have to take care of his horses and help him train daily.

My family life would probably be terrible since I would have dedicated my life to helping the knight till I become one myself, but once I become a knight, my family life will probably be better since I can travel on my own if I want to since I won’t have to go along with the knight where he pleases. Even if I enjoy traveling with other people, I would still want to be free to explore on my own and some day I would like to have a squire of my own.

Back then I would probably be a lot more active than I am now because back then were hard. They didn’t have the convenience we have right now. Everyone back then had to work to survive and they had to stick with that lifestyle most of their lives because they weren’t given the chance to make their lives better than it is.

I don’t really have any military training so becoming a knight back then would be hard for me since I would have to undergo training first. I think if it was back then I would be able to be overcome the challenges, but right now, maybe not because I am spoiled by technology and things that make our lives much easier and convenient.

My American Dream

My American Dream is to live a happy as a firefighter and to live a normal life with a family. I understand times are hard but I strongly believe that all of my goals can be accomplished as long as you never give up. A lot of people are struggling to get a job, or they have to settle with a job they are overqualified in just to make a living. Some people even quit school because they think that having to go through all the things like college and getting diplomas won’t do you any good anymore because there are a lot of older people with more experience that are more suitable for the job than young people fresh from college.
I think no one can achieve their dreams if they lose hope and just decide to give up and settle for less than what they wanted in the first place. In order to achieve your dreams, you have to make sure that you will be qualified for it, and you must never give up no matter how hard things are. Everyone nowadays is struggling to get a job, and the only way to get one is to get good education.
I don’t expect achieving my dreams will be easy but I’m willing to work hard for it and I’m sure that if I work hard enough I will be able to have the things I want despite of the hard times we have to go through. I just have to keep in mind that everyone else is working hard, and I don’t want to let them overtake me because it’s hard enough to secure a job you want, and it will be much harder if the job you wanted would already have been filled in by someone who worked hard non stop.

Not easy to get to College!

Normally colleges would check your grades in high school before they consider you eligible to enroll for their campus. Reason this is that they don't want to allow people who didn't work hard enough during their high school years, or if the person thinks that being accepted in college is easy so they just let go of their grades in highschool. Most of these people would eventually dop out of college, and it would be unfair to those who worked extra hard to get accepted and some of them would be replaces by people who would eventually drop out because the college wasn't strict enough.

I totally agree with the requirements for college to avoid people from slacking off, because if they let their grades in high school and in college go, then it would be like throwing away their future and they would end up with a low paying job instead of the job they dreamed of. Students have to realize that it is very important to do very well throughout highschool and not just their senior year because colleges don't jsut check for that certain year but they check if you did good all throughout your high school years.

The standards for colleges should remain the same to avoid future generations to think that they don't need to put out a lot of effort with their studies because going into college would be a breeze. Once people start adapting to this mindset, it would be very hard to set them straight, and it is very crucial to a persons life to get a good education to prevent them from throwing their lives away.
